I got my pair just a day after purchasing them and the packaging was quite simple, a slim box that explained more about “Sonar”, nothing more nothing less. I was previously considering the nova pro wireless but as I am new to steelseries I wanted to try out a cheaper option first. The price of the nova 7x was rather reasonable for the quality, they were only a bit extra from the 9x’s so I saw no reason not to get a headset from the nova line. The sound felt like it was inside my ears instead of coming from the ear cups, no matter what I did I couldn’t get rid of this issue.Īfter sending them back I was considering going for the Arctis 9x but I noticed that steelseries was doing a reveal a week or so from then so I decided to wait (and I’m glad I did).
Today I brought a pair of nova 7x’s and I’ve gotta say I’m impressed with them, these are my first steelseries headset and I’m coming from Astro a50 gen 3s.Ī couple weeks ago I tried Astro a50 gen 4 and I wasn’t too happy with them, the quality of the sound definitely didn’t go along well with the steep pricing.
